As a woman in business, Lesley Alexander has experienced first-hand what it's like to rise through the ranks of what is traditionally a male dominated culture. I especially appreciate how she has held on to her values and principles - becoming if anything more committed to the highest good. There is much we - men and women both - could learn from Lesley's experience and perspective.

Lesley is President of the UK Pensions Management Institute. Over the last thirty years she has held a number of senior pensions management roles with HSBC, EMI, Motorola and Reed Elsevier among others. Lesley was an independent member of Prudential's Independent Governance Committee and Master Trust Board and Chair of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association.

Lesley's particular interest is in demonstrating how strong governance and engaging communications contributes to better outcomes in workplace pension schemes.
